2-1-1 is the phone number that connects people with important services and volunteer opportunities in their communities. Trained Information and Referral Specialists help connect callers with the best program for their need or needs. These operators have access to approximately 3,000 programs in the Middle Tennessee area.

2-1-1 is operated by Family & Children's Service, First Call for Help (Rutherford County), and The Family Center (Maury County), and funded with public and private dollars from a variety of sources, including AmSouth Bank as the lead corporate sponsor.
