Dr. Thomas F. Frist, Jr. Excellence in Volunteer Leadership Award
The Dr. Thomas F. Frist, Jr. Excellence in Volunteer Leadership Award was established in 1996 to honor the extraordinary achievements and volunteer excellence exemplified by Dr. Frist in his service to the community through United Way. Sculptor Alan LeQuire is the creator of the award, a bronze relief sculpture of hands clasped together to form a circle.

Nominations are now being accepted for the 2009 Dr. Thomas F. Frist, Jr. Excellence in Volunteer Leadership Award.
After the initial screening by staff, final nominations will be reviewed by a volunteer committee from the United Way of Metropolitan Nashville board of trustees, which will determine the final selection based on the established criteria.
