Festivities:  United Way of Metropolitan Nashville is kicking-off its Summer Days of Action with a LIVE UNITED Song Contest.  It's an opportunity for Nashville songwriters to submit songs with a positive message for a chance to perform live on June 21 at the Stuff the Bus Launch Concert in front of a panel of music industry judges. All proceeds from the song contest and the concert go to purchase school supplies for at-risk Nashville students. Attendees will also have the opportunity to sign-up for Raise Your Hand Tennessee.

The Summer Song Contest is the kick-off to United Way of Metropolitan Nashville's Days of Action: Stuff the Bus, which offer many ways for volunteers to get involved.  All of the events lead up to the Sort-a-thon on July 26, when volunteers will come together to sort and deliver donated school supplies which will be distributed through United Way Family Resource Centers and other partner agencies.
