Location #1: Northside Neighborhood House
Address: 211 Minor Street
Time: 1:00 p.m.-4:30 p.m.
Festivities: Volunteers will partner with and be interviewed by kids from the Northside Neighborhood House kids for a future newspaper article. The students will also describe their favorite books and then group read with the volunteers. This project will help students gain a stronger perspective of the world outside of themselves. Volunteers can also sign-up for Raise Your Hand Chattanooga.

Location #2: Westside Recreation Center
Address: 1201 Poplar Street
Time: 10 a.m. - 12 noon
Festivities: Volunteers will lead children at Westside Youth Development Center in Story Circles, reading and discussing books with children and leading them in other learning activities. They will also have the opportunity to sign-up for Raise Your Hand Chattanooga. The Westside Youth Development program offers a safe and nurturing environment for youth to build lasting relationships and fond memories while receiving academic enrichment during the long days of summer.
