Nashville Career Advancement Center (NCAC)
Services: One-Stop Center
Description: NCAC works with job seekers and employers to provide a skilled workforce for the Metropolitan Nashville Area as part of the Tennessee Career Centers. Career Centers are a one-stop resource for the job seeker looking to find employment or a higher paying position and for employers recruiting qualified candidates. Services include:

  1. Career Coaches who work with individuals to explore career options, decide on a direction, target a career or industry, then strategize and market oneself for the job search
  2. Resource Centers offering computers with Internet access, copy and fax machines, telephones, and career resource materials
  3. Weekly training sessions where job seekers receive information and career coaching from Middle Tennessee employers and hiring managers as well as the NCAC career coaches
  4. Networking opportunities for job seekers to connect with other job seekers and area employers
  5. Workshops on resume writing, job searching and interviewing.
  6. Assessments to assist in determining industry preferences or types of jobs to pursue.

We cover all items including resume and cover letter writing, interview techniques, appropriate work behavior, and provide internet access for job searching when working with your mentor at St. Luke’s.
